I wonder…? EMC and Documentum
The more I think about this the more curious I get.
I can totally see why EMC would want to do something like this. But the more I ponder it from Documentum’s side, the quicker I keep coming back to thinking it may have been a mistake. Could Documentum have led the charge into a new era where CM is THE hot commodity? I would have thought so, with or without EMC. Did they bail out? Was there doubt that they could compete when things get really hot? Did they have product problems?
